Conwy Cottages by the Sea

Choose from 122 self-catering holiday homes in Conwy

Conwy stretches from the beaches of the North Wales coast into the Conwy Valley and the mountains around Eryri. Along the coast you’ll find large seaside resorts, sandy beaches, smaller towns and the historic walled town of Conwy. Llandudno and Colwyn Bay are two of the main places to stay, while Rhos-on-Sea, Penmaenmawr and Llanfairfechan offer more choices further along the shore. The Wales Coast Path links much of the coastline, with beaches, promenades, headlands and views across the Conwy Estuary along the way.

Sea View Cottages on the Conwy Coast

With a long stretch of coastline to choose from, Conwy has coastal cottages in larger seaside towns as well as smaller communities. Some properties overlook the sea or estuary, while others are set a little further inland but still provide easy access to the coast.

If you would prefer to stay in one of the area’s main seaside resorts, take a look at our Llandudno cottages by the sea. Alternatively, browse our North Wales cottages by the sea for stays across the wider region.

Beaches from Colwyn Bay to Llandudno

Colwyn Bay has a wide sandy beach alongside its long promenade, with Porth Eirias providing facilities close to the shore. The promenade continues towards Rhos-on-Sea, where you can walk beside the beach and harbour before heading towards the Little Orme.

Llandudno gives you two very different beaches. North Shore is the busier side of town, with the pier and main promenade, while West Shore has more sand at low tide and views across the estuary. Continue west beyond the Conwy Estuary and you’ll find further beaches at Penmaenmawr and Llanfairfechan.

Conwy Castle, Coastal Walks and the Great Orme

The Wales Coast Path is a good way to explore the region without relying on the car. It runs through Colwyn Bay and Rhos-on-Sea before crossing the Little Orme and reaching Llandudno. From there, the route continues around the Great Orme towards the Conwy Estuary and the town of Conwy.

Conwy itself is home to its medieval castle and town walls, while Llandudno has the Great Orme Tramway, Great Orme Copper Mines and several walking routes around the headland. Further inland, the Conwy Valley leads towards Betws-y-Coed and Eryri, giving you plenty of places to visit away from the coast as well.
