Bull Bay Beach, Rock Pools and Coastal Walks

Bull Bay Beach, also known as Porth Llechog, is a small shingle and rocky beach with rock pools exposed at low tide. The bay has a slipway and is popular for fishing, while the surrounding headlands offer views along the north coast of Anglesey.

The Wales Coast Path passes through Bull Bay, following the cliffs towards Porth Wen and Cemaes Bay. Along the route, walkers can see the remains of the old Porth Wen brickworks, which stand beside a secluded bay.

Further west, Cemaes Bay has a sandy beach, a small harbour and village shops. It is another option for visitors looking to explore Anglesey’s northern coastline.

Amlwch Harbour, Bull Bay Golf Club and Nearby Attractions

Bull Bay Golf Club overlooks the coast and has an 18-hole course with views towards the Irish Sea.

Amlwch is a short journey east and has a historic harbour at Porth Amlwch, where copper ore was once exported from the nearby Parys Mountain mines. Visitors can explore the harbour’s industrial history and walk along the coast towards Point Lynas.

Further inland, Parys Mountain is known for its colourful mineral-rich landscape and walking routes around the former copper mines.
