Porthleven is a traditional fishing port, and you'll always find something to watch on a walk around the lively harbour. After a stroll, pop into one of the restaurants or pubs to sample some delicious local seafood. Porthleven's beach is sand and shingle, and is a great place for a picnic or long walk along the shoreline. It's also a popular spot for experienced surfers. For a more buckets-and-spades-type beach, head to the family friendly Praa Sands, just 5 miles along the coast.
