Located between Aldingham Beach and Bardsea, this cheerful bungalow offers a laid-back base for enjoying the Cumbrian coast. Just 25 metres or so from a welcoming local pub (advisable to book ahead for indoor tables, though outdoor seating requires no booking), it's perfectly positioned for relaxed evenings after days spent exploring. A gentle 0.5-mile stroll brings you to the sand-and-shingle shoreline, while turning left up the hill from the house immediately leads you into open countryside – a walkers' paradise. Baycliff itself has a playground and peaceful corners that nod to the village's fishing heritage, and Lake Windermere is only a 30-minute drive away for a scenic day out. The market town of Ulverston is just 4.5 miles away, full of charm with cobbled streets, festivals, theatre shows and independent shops. While visiting, Ford Park is well worth a stop to climb the Sir John Barrow Monument for sweeping views over the town. For more coastal exploration, a short 2.5-mile drive in either direction offers additional shoreline to wander, and Walney Island – just 5 miles up the coast – is fantastic for walking, wildlife spotting and exploring the local town.
Inside, the bungalow features a welcoming hallway leading to a cosy living room with two sofas, an electric fireplace and a Smart TV, alongside a dining room for six and a well-equipped kitchen. A small hallway beyond provides useful bike storage with access from both front and back, plus a utility room. Off the main hallway are a twin bedroom, a king-size, and another king-size overlooking the garden, along with a family bathroom featuring a corner bath with shower over.
Outside, a spacious garden offers a lawn reached by steps and seating for six – ideal for unwinding after your adventures.
