Surrounded by idyllic country views, this beautiful family retreat offers cosy accommodation for up to six guests eager to explore a tranquil corner of the stunning Gwynedd coastline. A great base for walkers, beach lovers, cyclists and nature spotters, there is even fishing nearby, the property is ideally situated with the majestic Llyn Peninsula immediately to the west and the magnificent expanses of Snowdonia inland (5 miles). The Victorian town of Criccieth (1 mile) has a beautiful sandy beach, a range of great pubs and restaurants, and a historic 13th-century castle. To the south-east, the bustling seaside village of Morfa Bychan (8 miles) has a sandy beach, and lies just a mile from the eye-catching architectural folly of Portmeirion (9 miles). Heading into Snowdonia, climbers and hikers can attempt Snowdon itself (15 miles), with other attractions including Ynysypandy Slate Mill, Llyn Hafod-y-Llyn and Craig Cwm Silyn, all within 12 miles.

Entering this traditional cottage, full of character and tasteful furnishings, the welcoming hall has ample space for leaving outdoor boots and coats before heading through to relax in the beautiful lounge. With exposed brickwork, a wood burner set in a stone inglenook, sturdy timber beams and a Smart TV, the double-height lounge is an ideal space to unwind in after a fabulous day out. Heading through, the lovely kitchen/diner is a sociable space with plenty of equipment and storage, as well as a handsome dining table and additional seating. The ground floor also features a leisurely bathroom and a stylish double bedroom, which has its own elegant en-suite shower room. Heading upstairs, the characterful twin bedroom has a handy additional sofa. This room leads through to the final bedroom, a tastefully decorated double. Both these bedrooms feature skylights set in low, sloping beamed ceilings, perfect for enjoying the night skies and morning sunshine.

Stepping outside, the delightful enclosed garden has feature planting and outdoor furniture, alongside a charming games room with a football table and dartboard. Immediately outside the games room there’s a sweet covered area with ample seating, offering a relaxing space for everyone to unwind. The surrounding grounds have an array of trees and a wildlife path, with chances to spot hares, pheasants and badgers. Private parking is available for two cars.
