With a wood burner to cuddle up in front of on chilly days, it also benefits from a beautiful garden where you can soak up the sunshine in the summer months.

Tear yourselves away from the views out towards Robin Hood's Bay to enter the cosy, semi-detached cottage. Find yourselves in the generous, beamed lounge/diner where you can indulge in a well-earned rest after long walks and exciting days out. Light the wood burner here, then sink back into the soft sofa to enjoy its welcome heat. Find a good film on the Smart TV or chat about your plans for the following day. The country-style kitchen, which looks out over the garden, features everything you will need to help you rustle up delicious dishes for two with the Yorkshire produce you have bought. Set the table for your romantic meal back through in the lounge/diner. There is also a shower room downstairs. Your lovely bedroom, with its king-size bed, vaulted ceiling and beams, is up on the first floor of the retreat. Wake up in here to wonderful views out over the fields. Take coffee out into the charming garden on sunny days and sip it as you savour the scenery. There is off-street parking here for one car.

Walk just over 2 miles from the cottage to picture-postcard Robin Hood's Bay. Follow the Cleveland Way for 7 miles from here to Whitby. Whitby itself is a colourful place to visit, with its historic quarters and ties to Bram Stoker's famous gothic novel Dracula. Climb the 199 steps here up to the abbey ruins and spend time on the beautiful beach.
