Steeped in history and charm, this period cottage retains many of its original features, including exposed oak beams and traditional details, while also offering modern comforts for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Overlooking the village green — where Queen Elizabeth II planted a tree during her 1958 visit — the cottage is perfectly placed for exploring Holy Island. Local shops and the village pub are just a short stroll away, and Bamburgh, with its iconic castle and spectacular beaches, is just across the causeway. You're also within easy reach of the Northumberland Dark Skies Park, ideal for stargazing on clear nights.

Inside, the lounge has a lovely home-from-home feel, with a log-burning stove, comfy sofa, and plenty of character. It's a perfect space to unwind after a day out, whether you're reading a book, watching a film, or simply enjoying the warmth of the fire. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you'll need, including an electric oven and hob, separate fridge and freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher. Meals can be shared in the spacious dining room, which has a relaxed, welcoming feel. Upstairs, you'll find three bedrooms. The master has a king-size bed and calming décor, the twin room enjoys natural light from VELUX-style windows, and the bunk room is best suited to one guest due to the weight restriction on the top bunk. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC, and there's an additional shower room with a walk-in shower and WC.

To the rear is a small, enclosed patio area — a quiet spot to enjoy your morning coffee, a glass of wine in the evening, or simply take in the peaceful setting.
