This delightful property lies just under a mile from the lovely village of Cartmel, which is located on the beautiful Cartmel Peninsula, and boasts stunning views, ancient buildings, an impressive medieval priory as well as a selection of fine pubs and restaurants, complimented by local food and artisan shops. There are many wonderful local walks, notable destinations include Hampsfell and Eggerslack Wood, a limestone fell and ancient woodland offering panoramic views of Morecambe Bay and the Lake District Mountains, and where in spring the woodland is carpeted in bluebells. The village is only twelve miles from the foot of Lake Windermere and from here it is easy to explore wider areas of the National Park.
On entering this lovely property from the sunny shared courtyard, you enter a communal hall with stairs leading up to the first floor and the property. The entrance hall leads you into the spacious and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The cosy lounge is beautifully furnished, a perfect space to tuck up with the latest best seller or take in a movie on the Smart TV. The ambience is enhanced by a Gazco LED inset fire. You will also find a charming dining area before moving into the attractively designed kitchen which is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee cafetiere, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Exploring further, the comfy double bedroom is beautifully furnished, and the shower room features a walk-in rainfall shower and WC and benefits from underfloor heating.
Stepping outside you will find the shared area around the duck pond. Here you can sit with a glass of Prosseco on a warm summer night and watch the coming and goings of pond life. The enclosed sunny courtyard overlooking the little fountain feature also offers the opportunity to sit out and relax.
