Ty Clyd is a charming dog-friendly cottage with a hot tub near Aberaeron, nestled on a peaceful smallholding in the heart of the Ceredigion countryside. Dating back over 200 years, this beautifully restored holiday cottage blends traditional character with modern comforts, making it the perfect retreat for couples, families, and dog owners looking to explore the stunning Cardigan Bay coastline.

Located opposite the farmhouse, the cottage offers a peaceful rural setting while remaining within easy reach of some of West Wales’ best beaches, coastal walks and attractions. After a day exploring, unwind in your private hot tub beneath dark, star-filled skies, enjoy al fresco dining with the gas BBQ, or relax beside the cosy woodburning stove.

Just 20 minutes away, the colourful harbour town of Aberaeron is renowned for its independent shops, award-winning restaurants, cafés and dog-friendly pubs. Continue along the coast to New Quay, one of the best places in Wales to enjoy dolphin-spotting boat trips or walk the spectacular Wales Coast Path, offering breathtaking views across Cardigan Bay.

Families will love nearby attractions including the Moody Cow Farm Shop & Welsh Bistro, complete with an indoor play barn, trampoline park and assault course. For a traditional Welsh pub, visit Rhos yr Hafod and its beautiful beer garden, awarded West Wales CAMRA Pub of the year. Cross Inn has a well-stocked mini-shop and post office.

Venture inland to the historic market town of Tregaron, the gateway to the Cambrian Mountains. Discover scenic riverside walks, visit the Red Kite Centre, or explore the wildlife-rich Cors Caron Nature Reserve. Other popular attractions nearby include Llanerchaeron, Fantasy Farm Park, and the sandy beaches of Llanrhystud, Llanon and New Quay. Take the Vale of Rheidol Steam Railway to Devil’s Bridge and visit the collection in the museum.

Whether you’re planning a dog-friendly holiday in West Wales, a relaxing countryside escape with a hot tub, or an adventure exploring Cardigan Bay and Ceredigion, this welcoming holiday cottage provides the perfect base to experience the very best of West Wales all year round.
