At low tide you can walk across the sands around to Rock for some retail therapy, wonderful restaurants or catch the short ferry ride to Padstow. In the other direction you will reach Polzeath, renowned as one of the best surfing beaches in Britain and offering yet more water sports, cafés, shops, and galleries.
