The pretty rural village sits on the east coast of the Scottish Highlands, surrounded by dramatic cliffs and sweeping North Sea views. With a convenience store, restaurant and a pub 3.5 miles from the cottage, you're never too far from everyday essentials and places to eat. Latheronwheel Harbour and its rocky beach are 1 mile away, while peaceful woodland walks await at Latheronwheel Fairy Glen (1.5 miles). Head to Lybster (3.5 miles) to potter around its fishing harbour, then learn about the industry that shaped a village at the Waterlines Heritage Centre (5 miles). Other options are Whaligoe Steps, the prehistoric Grey Cairns of Camster and Badbea Clearance Village (all within 12 miles). For a grand day out, visit magnificent Dunrobin Castle in Golspie (33 miles away).

Upstairs, occupants of the double bedroom will wake to fabulous sea views each day. The second bedroom has bunk beds comprising two full-sized single beds.

Outside, absorb those wonderful views from the pretty front garden or head to the rear, where the large, fully enclosed garden is perfect for dogs and children to play.
