Heysham has a local beach, and is close to the historic city of Lancaster, where you will find a castle, shops, and pubs. For those feeling adventurous, head slightly further afield to spend time upon the Forest of Bowland AONB, where you will find a magnitude of opportunities for walking and cycling amidst a landscape of moorland.
