Beach Cottages in Ringmore
Ringmore is a tranquil seaside village in the South Hams of Southwest Devon and consists of little more than a scattering of pretty seaside cottages, a 13th century church and a 14th century Inn. That said, it is the perfect retreat if you’re in need of some peace and quiet. Its origins are Anglo Saxon and the village still houses evidence of pre-Norman Conquest relics and is even mentioned in the Domesday Book. It also hides a smuggler’s past with village tales that describe smuggler’s bounties being dragged to the Inn from the nearby Cove and sandy Bay at Challaborough. Ayrmer Cove is a stunning secluded beach and you’re not far from other lovely beaches, because despite being off the beaten track, Ringmore is close to the touristic end of Devon.
