Just a 15-minute walk down the hill to the SWCP and the sand and shingle beach at Downderry with rock pools to explore at low tide, this sensitively converted early 19th century detached stone barn enjoys lovely views down over the fields to the sea. Standing in a peaceful rural setting to one side of the owner's farmhouse just one mile inland from the picturesque coastal village of Downderry, The Old Wagon House offers spacious and comfortable accommodation.
All the village amenities are just a 5-minute drive, including a local cafe and pub. For walkers, the coastal footpath leads to Looe westwards and east to Whitsand Bay, and there are wooded walks inland through the Seaton Valley Countryside Park.
Looe, 8 miles, offers pleasure boat and fishing trips, there is diving at the HMS Scylla artificial reef, and there are several golf courses, houses and gardens in the immediate area to explore, including St Mellion, Whitsand Bay, Antony House and Mount Edgcumbe Country Park. Plymouth is half an hour by car, and The Eden Project is a 40-minute drive. Bake fishing lakes are just a few minutes' drive away, offering coarse and fly fishing.
