Just over 2 miles from the beach at Porthcothan and 5 miles from Padstow, Peggy's Old Post Office is a terrific base from which to explore this fabulous part of the north Cornish coast.

Padstow is of course famous to most and particularly so for its high end dining options including restaurants owned by the likes of Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. Even so, Padstow still has a wealth of charm about it and an abundance of interesting shops and galleries to explore.

Further along the coast from Penrose heading towards Padstow you will have a choice of six other beaches at your disposal. The seven bays for seven days applies perfectly for a property like Peggy's as all seven are within striking distance of one another. Start with Porthcothan on day one and end up at Trevone Bay on day seven with Treyarnon, Constantine, Booby's Bay, Mother Ivey's and Harlyn in between!

St Merryn is just a couple of miles from Peggy's and here you will find two great pubs, a bakery, convenience store and fish and chip shop.

Assuming you have any time left from your beach days, the bustling town of Wadebridge is just 12 miles away and has a great variety of facilities and amenities at your disposal including Camel bicycle trail, two screen cinema, high street full of interesting shops and cafes, leisure centre with swimming pool and choice of supermarkets.

Further afield for those of you who want more than beaches, the world renowned Eden Project and the quite marvellous, Lost Gardens of Heligan are 20 and 24 miles respectively from Peggy's.
