This picturesque, very traditional, detached house is set in an unspoilt little creekside hamlet on a tributary of the Fowey river.
The original Mill House for the unrestored mill on the edge of the stream it is set into sloping ground and entered from the parking area by an uneven granite and cobbled path that crosses the unused mill leat at one point. There is a little bridge crossing over Penpoll Creek where it is possible to launch canoes and small dinghies at high tide, 25 yards away.
Bodinnick, 2 miles, has a quaint old pub and a car ferry operating to the bustling town of Fowey. There are circular country walks from the doorstep and excellent walks upriver to Lerryn and St Winnow as well as the spectacular coastal Fowey Hall Walk.
The picturesque harbour at Polperro is 6 miles by road where there are a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and the larger resort of Looe, 10 miles away, has a wider choice of amenities and a sandy beach. The Eden Project and Lanhydrock House are within a 30 minute drive.
