Steep, winding cottage-style stairs with a rope banister lead up to the first floor. Here you will find the stylish family bathroom and the two cosy bedrooms: a cheerful twin and a sweet double with a feature fireplace. Outside, the south-facing back courtyard has a table and chairs and makes a lovely spot for dining alfresco on a sunny summer's afternoon. Thornham is a delightful village with a quaint harbour, a wide sandy beach and a choice of great places to eat and drink. This is a great base for birdwatchers, with RSPB Titchwell just over a mile away, looking out over the marshes towards Thornham Point. Exploring this beautiful north-western corner of Norfolk you can visit Hunstanton Beach, Houghton Hall and Gardens, the ruins of Creake Abbey, Bircham Windmill and the Sandringham Estate, all within 12 miles.
