Set in the colourful, coastal village of Appledore, this historic cottage combines traditional features and modern finishes. Whether you are travelling with a group of four friends, or a family, this is a fabulous seaside escape which boasts a courtyard garden and close proximity to the beach.
Leave your shoes in the small hallway and then find yourself in the light, bright lounge. Get cosy on the sofas and watch movies on the TV, or play some games together as you reflect on the day's events. Get cooking in the compact yet stylish kitchen and eat together in the characterful dining room which has a large window and an ornamental fireplace. The stairs up to the first floor are quite steep and lead to a family bathroom, and two cosy bedrooms which are both adorned with beamed ceilings. One bedroom has a super-king-size bed which can be made up as a twin if required, and the other is a double bedroom. Outside, a pleasant courtyard space has outdoor furniture where you can enjoy an al fresco breakfast or an evening tipple, and an outbuilding with a WC and utility area. The public car park is located around 20 metres away.
Appledore is a bustling fishing village which sits at the mouth of the River Torridge in Devon. Pretty, pastel-coloured buildings line narrow streets, where you can enjoy perusing the independent shops and sampling the restaurants. Spend a day soaking up the sun on the beautiful shores of Westward Ho! Beach (3 miles), or take the kids for a fun-filled day out at The Big Sheep (4 miles).
