A fabulous, pet friendly cottage that sleeps four in the heart of the ancient fishing village of Polruan, Cornwall. Inside awaits a cosy lounge, comfy sofas, a wood-burner, dual aspect windows and stunning sea views. The kitchen is immaculate as is the dining area and the gorgeous bedrooms. Outside the garden can be accessed via several steps to a wonderful patio terrace with superb views across the estuary. Relax in front of the summerhouse and enjoy an evening tipple or dine al-fresco under the star lit sky. Parking available in large village carpark (Polruan's steep layout does not accommodate cars).
The village itself has a small shop, bakery, café and a couple of good pubs which serve food. Bodinnick Car Ferry (3.4 miles) perfect for easy access mid and east Cornwall. There is also a passenger ferry service to Fowey which runs every 15 minutes, giving access to further shops, restaurants and pubs. There is only one road into Polruan, which ends by the quay close to the tidal beach, making the village a quiet and peaceful destination to retreat to. It is ideally situated for visiting attractions such as The Eden Project (15.7 miles) or Ferryside, where Daphne Du Maurier wrote her first novel. The property also offers easy access to the South West Coast Path. Parking available in large village carpark, as Polruan's steep layout does not accomodate cars easily.
2 bedrooms 1 double 1 3ft twin (can be made up as a super king on request). 2 bathrooms 1 shower room with waterfall shower and WC , 1 freestanding bath in double bedroom and 1 ensuite WC. Electric oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, fridge/freezer, microwave. Welcome pack provided. Highchair and travel cot available on request. Wood burner in lounge (1st bag of logs provided). Enclosed garden terrace with several levels, steps, superb estuary views and charcoal BBQ. The neighbouring property has access via the path running along the garden to their garden. Shop, pubs and beach less than a mile away. Polruan is a quaint little village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging. Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps/ slopes some of which can be steep. There are many small winding streets in and around the village which are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display car park at the top of the village.
