A Victorian cottage with sea views that sleeps seven in Bantham, Devon. Boasting views over the Avon estuary and Burgh Island and within walking distance of one of the finest beaches in Devon, Bantham Beach. Inside, bay window sea views fill the living room that leads to a kitchen diner equipped with all mod cons including a dishwasher and washer/dryer. Outside, an enclosed garden leads to two terraces and a gate that leads to the path to the estuary and quayside. Three bedrooms include a double bedroom and a twin serviced by a family bathroom. On the top floor lies another large twin with pull-out bed beneath. Off-road parking for one car at the rear of the house. Beaches half a mile away.
Walkers will revel in the marvellous coastal path walks, and there is a good pub just down the road to quench your thirst after a brisk walk or energetic day on the beach!
Accommodation:
Rear hallway with cloak hooks and boot storage. Smart shower room with rose head shower and butler's sink. Adjoining separate WC with basin in vanity unit. A glazed door opens into a most spacious and attractive living room with wood laminate floor and featuring a large bay window that makes the most of the superb views. The sitting area, attractively decorated with pretty soft furnishings, faces the bay window that has window seats, and there is a sofa, chairs, TV with DVD, radio/CD player and a stone hearth. The dining area has a large table to seat 8 and there is a large fitted cupboard housing a washing machine and tumble dryer. The very smart well fitted and equipped kitchen has wood block worktops, electric hob and built-under oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Front hallway with porch and access to the front garden. Stairs to the first landing. Spacious, lovely double bedroom with fitted cupboards and 5ft bed from which the enviable views can be enjoyed. A twin bedroom has 3ft beds, fitted cupboard and decorative Victorian fireplace. Smart family bathroom with bath, shower over, basin in vanity unit and WC. Door to further stairs to the top floor and an attractive open plan bedroom with dual aspect velux windows, fitted cupboards and vanity unit, twin 3ft beds, one with same size pull-out bed beneath.
Outside:
Steps lead down from here to the rear entrance. Enclosed area with a washing line. At the front of the villa a level area of lawn is provided with bench, garden table and chairs. Gates on each side of the garden on this level provide shared access across the row of four cottages, very rarely used. The enclosed garden slopes down over two terraces that are bordered by shrubs and a gate at the end of the lower lawn gives access to the lane that leads down to the estuary and quayside.
Parking: For one car in off road parking bay at the rear of the house.
