The village has a church, small shops, tea gardens and two pubs which offer food, all within a five minute walk and the lovely wide sandy beach backed by dunes is a further five minute walk.
The holiday resort of Newquay, 3 miles by road, has a good selection of shops, a rail and coach station and many attractions including the Zoo and Blue Reef Aquarium. There are also lovely coastal walks in the immediate area. The National Trust Trerice Manor and the seaside town of Perranporth, are a 15 minute drive respectively and the cathedral city of Truro is within half an hour by car.
