Occupying three storeys, this fresh and light-filled property makes a wonderful holiday home for six guests enjoying a tranquil break in a peaceful village just outside Whitby. The friendly village of Sandsend is known for its rugged clifftops, its fossil-finding heritage and beautiful sandy beach dotted with rockpools. Heading along the coast, the popular seaside resort of Whitby (3 miles) has several glorious beaches, and a range of great pubs, friendly restaurants, independent shops and fantastic cafes. The town is home to a variety of attractions and landmarks, including the Dracula Experience, the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, the Cinder Track, Larpool Viaduct, and the 199 Steps, which lead up to the impressive remains of Whitby Abbey. From Whitby, you can take a steam train trip inland to explore the spectacular North York Moors.
The property can be reached via a flight of external stone steps, with the entrance leading into the elegantly arranged and fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen then opens straight into the bright and spacious lounge/diner with stylish seating, a TV and a charming dining table over by the French doors, which lead out to the back garden. Upstairs on the first floor, you'll find an invigorating bathroom and two pretty double bedrooms, one with a big bay window and views over the village. Finally, up on the second floor, you will find a light and cheery bedroom with a lovely double bed, an en-suite shower room and sea views through the large skylight window.
Stepping outside, the back patio garden stretches across several levels, with plenty of outdoor furniture offering a charming spot for dining alfresco and taking in the views over the village towards the sea. Roadside parking is subject to availability, with further parking in a nearby public car park. Please note there are some steps and cobbles leading up to the cottage.
