A gorgeous self-catering holiday cottage for six guests, set next to picturesque Wheelers Bay in the heart of the Victorian seaside town of Ventnor on the Isle of Wight. Enjoy the breathtaking sea views from the bedrooms. This house makes an excellent base for walkers and beach lovers with easy access to the coastal path.
Just across from the cottage there is a lovely footpath with stairs leading to the seafront, which offers a selection of fresh seafood restaurants, shops and pubs. Set back just 200 yards from the coastal path, this is the ideal location for those keen to explore and enjoy the panoramic coastal views that the path offers.
As you enter this picturesque stone cottage, you'll step through a small, enclosed porch, the ideal place to drop off beach or walking shoes. Entering through the main door now you'll find yourself in the cosy lounge which offers comfortable seating, a large wood burner and a smart TV.
This room is the perfect place to curl up and watch a family film in front of the fire after a long day out exploring the island. In this open plan space you'll also find a lovely dining area and with the exposed beams this makes for the perfect setting for a delicious family meal. Heading through to the modern kitchen you'll find everything you need.
Heading up to the first floor you'll be greeted with a beautiful double room with cosy coastal décor and gorgeous sea views. Heading through this floor you'll find the first bathroom which offers a beautiful roll top bath, the ideal spot to soak off a long day out on the coastal path. The final room on this floor is another double room which is garden facing and offers a lovely little private terrace garden, complete with small breakfast table set for two.
On the way up to the final floor of this stunning stone cottage, take note on the stairs of the truth wall . This is a small section of the original wall left exposed to help tell the story of this fabulous period property which is over 200 years old. Straight ahead you'll be met with the second coastal style bathroom. The final room on this floor is the last double bedroom which offers calm and cosy décor and spectacular sea views.
This is the ideal spot to curl up with your morning coffee and enjoy watching the waves. Heading back down to the ground floor and out the front of this beautiful cottage you'll find a lovely little enclosed garden complete with outdoor furniture. With seasonal flowers blooming around this quaint cottage, you'll find it impossible not to escape everyday life.
