The recently re-fitted kitchen has the advantage of a sunny garden room which is ideal for informal dining or as an additional sitting room. French doors lead onto the rear terraced area, and garden beyond. The master bedroom has an en suite shower room, and there is a further twin bedroom and family bathroom.

The open Forest is at the opening of the quiet no-through lane in which Little Mallard is situated, where New Forest ponies, cattle and donkeys roam free. The popular Turfcutters Arms is a short stroll away, as is Hatchet Pond from where beautiful sunsets can be viewed. Other local attractions include Beaulieu Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens and Lepe Beach & Country Park. Brockenhurst and the Georgian market town of Lymington are a short drive away.
