A set of rustic stone steps leads guests up to the hut and its secret garden where lush sub-tropical plants and greenery create an away-from-it-all atmosphere. Lit up at night, the garden is magical, with a chiminea and BBQ inviting long, lazy evenings under the stars whether dining alfresco or sipping on a glass of bubbly.
Stepping inside, the hut's handcrafted beauty unfolds, with wood panelling and tasteful furnishings creating a warm, organic feel to the space. The open-plan living area has two armchairs, a small dining table, Smart TV and a woodburner, so guests will be comfortable no matter the weather.
The separate bedroom features a plush double bed and has a contemporary en-suite shower room with rainfall attachment.
The surrounding area has so much to offer. Polgoon Vineyard is a three-minute drive from Buryas Bridge and makes for a lovely place to taste locally produced wines or juices from their orchards, while Trewidden house and garden lie on the doorstep. Just five minutes away lies Newlyn with its brilliant restaurants and vibrant local art scene. Continue along the coast to Penzance and discover a fabulous, heated lido as well as historic architecture, or head in the other direction to Mousehole – one of Cornwall's prettiest villages – where cobbled streets, sea views and delicious seafood lunches await. The South West Coast Path runs close by, with the walk from Mousehole to Lamorna Cove especially beautiful, while the National Trust-owned Trengwainton Garden (just ten minutes away) offers a peaceful stroll through its lush grounds and is ideal for guests with dogs in tow.
A little further afield, the white sands and turquoise waters of Porthcurno beckon, where you can visit the world-famous Minack Theatre, carved dramatically into the cliffs and overlooking the ocean.
This property is one of four hideaways within our Buryas Bridge collection. All four can be booked together for group stays.
