An archway leads through to the stylish kitchen, where you'll find everything you need for a self-catering break. When it's time for bed, choose from a pretty double bedroom or a cute single bedroom. A family bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, listen to the sounds of the sea from the swing seat in the enclosed garden, or enjoy an al fresco meal on a summer's evening.

From the lodge, take peaceful strolls along the shores of the sand and shingle beach, or stride out along the Suffolk Coast Path and marvel at the spectacular coastal views. Nature lovers will adore Benacre National Nature Reserve, at the southern end of the beach, with its rare seabirds and fascinating local wildlife. For a day on the water, journey 6 miles to Oulton Broad – the eastern gateway to the Broads. Hire a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard to explore the pretty waterways, or join one of the popular river cruises.
