Sleeping four people, the two-bedroom, architect-designed barn conversion, which is just 3.5 miles from Ilfracombe, was a winner on Channel 5's Holiday Homes in the Sun. Welcoming canine companions too, it has a pretty garden and access to wider grounds with a stream and paddock, as well as an exquisite interior.

Step into the double-height entrance hall to find enticing ground-floor accommodation, with underfloor heating. The bedrooms are both to be found at this level. These include a super-king, with a gorgeous en-suite bathroom, with roll-top bath, three steps down. There is also a twin bedroom, with an en-suite shower room and zip-and-link beds that can be made up as a super-king by prior arrangement. A utility space is also downstairs. Climb the striking oak and metal staircase up to the mezzanine level to discover your splendid, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which has a vaulted and beamed ceiling. Light the wood burner in here on chilly days so it casts a cosy glow as you cook, dine and relax in front of the Smart TV or listen to music. Take in the views from up here or wander out into the garden. Cook supper on the BBQ out here and enjoy the sunshine or take the children and pets to play in the meadow, supervising them near the stream and any livestock. There is storage for bikes and surf boards and parking for two cars.

Head out on long walks through the north Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty around you or make trips into Exmoor, which begins 4 miles away. Plan day trips into Ilfracombe, 3.5 miles away, to swim from the famous Tunnels Beaches, peruse the shops and dine out.
