Bold and dramatic, this unusually styled property offers a twist on a traditional fisherman's cottage, with dark stained beams, luxurious black and red leather sofas and charming original features in each and every room. Families will love the spaciousness of the property, as well as its proximity to the harbour and beach, which are just metres away for an array of boat trips and water sports activities.

The heart of the property is the living room, characterised by the bold beams which line the walls and ceilings, as well as the original inglenook fireplace. A leather sofa and two armchairs ensure plenty of space to sit, with a TV in one corner for evening entertainment. The kitchen is beautifully crafted with clever storage solutions throughout making the most of the space and ensuring you have everything you need to fix up a family feast. Just steps away is the dining table, sitting next to a bright window to create a lovely ambience at dinnertime. Upstairs is a double bedroom, continuing with the same style as found on the ground floor, as well as a bathroom and a twin bedroom with an exposed stone wall. The second floor is accessed via a flight of wooden stairs, leading to the final two bedrooms, both of which are beautifully furnished with solid wood furniture but have vaulted ceilings meaning that the head height is limited in areas. Completing the cottage is the shower room with a thermostatic shower.

East Looe is a vibrant place to stay on the coast with a number of great eateries serving up fresh, locally caught fish, home-baked cakes and other treats to tempt you during your stay. For a day out with a picnic, you could venture across the bridge on foot or via a water taxi to the quieter part of town, West Looe. From here, you can make your way along the river to the ancient woodland of Kilminorth (2 miles) for an enchanting walking trail. Once you're done exploring the beaches in this part of Cornwall, Bodmin (19 miles) is well worth a visit to explore a more rural location within the county. Here, you'll find the fascinating history of Bodmin Jail as well as an array of walks on the moors where rare plants and wildlife can be seen in the moorland.
