If you're not quite ready for bed, fire up the electric flame-effect fire in the cosy ground floor lounge to keep paws and toes toasty as the cooler coastal breeze brushes past, or head into the beautifully presented farmhouse-style kitchen/diner to rustle up a fabulous locally sourced feast to feed the crowd. Soak up your seaside surroundings by spilling out onto the rear patio to dine alfresco before heading to the beach to catch some stunning sunsets over the sandy shoreline.

The small yet mighty seaside village of Borth nestled in Ceredigion is just 7 miles north of the foodie mecca of Aberystwyth and offers a long stretch of golden sand that joins to the dunes of nearby Ynyslas (2 miles). Offering shallow waters perfect for surfing, sailing and fishing, and 3 miles of glorious golden sand, enjoy a traditional at the seaside at Borth's Blue Flag award beach, one of Ceredigion's most popular beaches with families. Join up with the spectacular clifftop Wales Coast Path, following the route of the former Ceredigion Coast Path, from Borth to Aberystwyth; at low tide, keep your eyes peeled for the remains of the sunken forests in the waters below.
