Chestnut Cottage is a delightful loft conversion, full of character and rustic charm, offering a warm and inviting retreat in the heart of West Wales. Tucked away just a mile inland from the Ceredigion Coastal Path and the golden sandy beaches of Aberporth, it provides a peaceful and picturesque base for your escape.

Aberporth is a much-loved seaside village, known for its two sheltered sandy bays, clear waters, and frequent dolphin sightings, making it perfect for relaxing beach days, swimming, rock pooling, or enjoying stunning coastal sunsets.

The popular nearby beaches of Tresaith and Llangrannog are within easy reach, each offering its own unique charm, from waterfalls by the shore to colourful beachside cafés. The breathtaking National Trust beaches at Penbryn and Mwnt are also just a short drive away, ideal for exploring unspoilt coastline, spotting wildlife, or simply soaking in the far-reaching views across Cardigan Bay.

Inland, the market towns of Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn offer a fantastic mix of independent shops, welcoming cafés, galleries, and local produce, alongside a rich sense of Welsh culture and history. There is no shortage of things to see and do, from exploring the rugged beauty of the Preseli Hills to peaceful walks through the Teifi Marshes Wildlife Centre.

The cottage itself is detached and set back from the road within the courtyard of the original farmhouse, ensuring privacy and tranquillity. Thoughtfully designed to be energy efficient, with natural timber, excellent insulation, and a high-efficiency eco wood burner, it stays cosy and welcoming whatever the season.

Private balcony. There is a shared enclosed garden. There is space to store your surf board, bicycles, etc. There is a shared washing machine. In the courtyard there is level access to the parking area for one car.
