With uninterrupted panoramic sea views along the coast from Rame Head in the east to Dodman Point westwards, this cosy little single-storey cottage stands just 50 yards above Downderry beach.

The beach with sand and rock pools at low tide is just a minute's walk down the hill, and all the village amenities are very close at hand with a pub and restaurant. Golf and diving are available in the area, and the twin village of Seaton is a pleasant 20-minute walk along the coast.

This cottage is one of a small row built for the old coastguard station in the early 1800s, the cottage retains much of its simple period character with white washed walls and a Delabole slate roof.

The seaside town of Looe is 6 miles by road and the picturesque harbour of Polperro is 10 miles.  Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary is less than a 10 minute and is an active rescue centre.
