Seafront period property in Budleigh Salterton that sleeps six with well behaved pets welcome and wonderful sea views. Original features include sash windows, wooden flooring and original fireplaces, with plenty of room for six, the house offers a spacious kitchen / diner as well as two family-sized bathrooms, both with walk-in showers for either a quick de-salting, or a relaxing drench.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has its own indulgent freestanding roll top bath for extended soaks overlooking the sea. Budleigh’s beautiful shingle beach lies just meters from the home’s front door so wild swimming and SUP sessions can at first light or last thing, and with the coast path and promenade also within throwing distance, leisurely strolls, fish and chip suppers, and dramatic coastal views are the order of each and every day.
Of course, being this close to the sea demands at least a glimpse of water from your holiday abode but like everything else the house has to offer, you’ll get more than a mere hint of it with both double bedrooms flaunting a beautiful outlook over the beach and bay. Off the entrance hall, two reception rooms offer the choice of where to spend your down time; either together in the living room with its squidgy sofas, log burner and TV; or a little more secluded in the separate snug.

This ground floor sea-facing room is a lovely space for catching up on your reading and has sash windows with views over the bay

Open plan with the kitchen, this room is flooded with natural light thanks to an overhead window and double-glazed French doors (the front patio is accessed from here)
Bespoke built-in corner bench seating with seat pads and cushions with a wooden dining table
Kitchen
Beautifully designed using granite for its work surfaces and includes fridge / freezer, induction hob, integrated electric oven and microwave, dishwasher and washing machine
A range of small appliances include a toaster, kettle, coffee machine (some pods provided but guests are asked to bring extras), cafetiere, iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner
Master Bedroom
The pared-back chic of this first-floor bedroom creates a calming sanctuary for long nights of comfortable sleep and lazy lie-ins
Stunning sea views frame the space which boasts stripped floorboards, an original cast iron fireplace (ornamental) and a free-standing roll-top bath
Furnished with a Provencal inspired king size bed with whitewashed rattan headboard, side tables with reading lamps, DAB radio and two built-in wardrobes

Bedroom Two
The second bedroom is equally as stylish, light and airy, with views over the beach and sea both to the front and side
Furnished with a comfortable double bed, bedside tables with lamps, and coat hooks for hanging

Also on the first floor, this room has been designed for children and is furnished with bunk beds and a chest of drawers. There are coat hooks for hanging
Please note that while adults may use the bunk beds, they are ideally suited to children

Beautifully designed wet room on the ground floor with shower, wash basin, heated towel rail, cabinet, mirror and toilet

Parking
This property offers a parking permit for one vehicle in Budleigh Salterton East Devon Council car parks.
Please note that a space cannot be guaranteed and will be on a first come first served basis
For other vehicles, there is nearby on-street parking available also on a first-come-first-served basis however in busier times guests are advised to park in one of the town’s long stay council car parks
Our suggestion would be Lime Kiln Long Stay Car Park (10 minutes walk away)
