A period coastguard cottage on the beachfront with gorgeous sea views that sleeps five in Downderry, Cornwall. Just 50 yards above Downderry beach with uninterrupted sea views from Rame Head to Dodman Point. There's a comfy lounge with an open fire and a bay window overlooking the sea, taking in Eddystone lighthouse. The gorgeous kitchen diner also has sea views and provides every mod con and there's more laundry facilities outside. Three bedrooms include two doubles and a bunk room, served by a family bathroom. Outside there's an enclosed courtyard and lawn extending to low cliffs overlooking the beach below with garden furniture and BBQ. Private parking for one car.
The beach is a minute's walk down hill, and local amenities are close including a pub and restaurant. Golf and diving are available in the area, and the twin village of Seaton is a pleasant 20-minute walk along the coast. Looe is 6 miles by road and Polperro is 10 miles. The Monkey Sanctuary is less than a 10 minute drive.
Entrance
A few steps lead up to the terrace of cottages and a gated footpath with a right of way leads to the stable door which opens to a flagstoned entrance porch. The original storm doors lead to an inner hallway.
Living Area
Sitting room with a wood floor, television, and comfortable leather seating facing the feature fireplace with multifuel. Stunning sea views can be enjoyed from the bay window right across to the Eddystone lighthouse in the distance.

Good size double bedroom with double bed and wash basin.
Bedroom 2
Twin bedroom with 3ft bunk beds and wash basin.
Bedroom 3
To the rear of the kitchen, there is a further double bedroom with a wash basin.
Kitchen
There is a fully fitted kitchen/dining room with modern units, a dining table with chairs, and a spectacular view far out to sea. Kitchen and laundry room appliances include a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, electric hob and oven, microwave, Tassimo coffee machine, and washing machine and tumble dryer.
Bathroom
Bathroom WC with a hand basin and shower over the bath. Refurbishment planned for this year which may not include bath.
Heating
This property is heated via electric panel heaters.
Outside
There is a small sheltered courtyard with a rotary line and a useful laundry room with a 2nd sink. The level front lawn extends to the edge of the low cliffs with delightful views overlooking the sea and beach below. There are boundary fences between the cottages (although young children will need to be supervised) and a 3ft high sturdy wire fence on the seaward side. Barbecue and garden furniture provided.
Parking
There is a private parking area for one car about 20 yards away.
