Contemporary Wooden Lodge

Take a break from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a Scottish escape with your four loved ones at this contemporary lodge with beautiful surrounding views. Just down the road at Southerness (2.5 miles), you will find a couple of handy shops and places to eat, along with a golf course and an expansive rocky and sandy beach. Nature lovers can enjoy the RSPB Mersehead Nature Reserve (1.5 miles), an extensive wetland filled with an abundance of resident birds and wildlife. Visit galleries and museums at Castle Douglas (16 miles), which also has an abundance of great cafes and restaurants. Take the kids for a day out at Bainloch Deer Park (4 miles) or Mabie Farm Park (11 miles) close to Dumfries.

Step inside this stylish home where underfloor heating throughout keeps you warm, whatever the weather. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is plenty big enough and has floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with light and make the best of the views. Rustle up delectable meals in the practical kitchen before curling up for a relaxing evening in front of the TV on the lounge sofas. A handy utility room has laundry facilities. Two bedrooms provide the sleeping arrangements; there is one king-size and one twin bedroom, and a family bathroom which has a bath, a shower, a WC, and a bidet.

Outside is a cosy gravel garden with seating where you can dine alfresco, while out the front is some south-facing seating that is a great spot for enjoying the scenery with a morning coffee. Storage for bikes is provided, along with parking for two cars.
