This five-bedroom beach house sits 100 metres from Porth Beach on the North Cornwall coast, at the end of a quiet no-through road. With generous proportions across two floors, it suits large families or two families sharing a seaside holiday. A narrow wooden footbridge connects the beach to Porth Island, a headland where a blowhole sends rainbow sprays of water into the air at mid-tide. Streams, rock pools, and caves thread through the broad sweep of sand below – terrain made for sandcastle-building and exploring. The coast path leads towards Watergate Bay (3.5 miles) in one direction and the rolling headlands of Mawgan Porth (5 miles) in the other, while Newquay’s bays and beaches (1 mile) stretch along the coast to the south. Between the headland walks, cafes by the sand, and hours spent with nets and buckets in the rock pools, this stretch of coastline keeps all ages busy.
A wide hallway with vast glass doors frames views from the garden right through to the headland and the sea beyond. The south-facing rear garden is private and sheltered, terraced across two levels with upper and lower patio areas, a table and seating for ten, and a gas BBQ. A games room opens off the garden with a pool table, Smart TV with sound bar, and Xbox 360, along with its own WC and shower room – a double sofa bed here provides additional sleeping space. The hot tub sits in the garden with views over the rooftops towards the sea. Surfboards and bodyboards are available for use. To the front, a lawned area has sea views, and a path with steps leads 100 metres down to the beach. Private parking is available for two cars at the front, with space for several more on the rear driveway.
