This cliff-top chalet sits high on Tregonhawke Cliff above the sandy beach of Whitsand Bay, on Cornwall’s Rame Peninsula – a National Landscape known as Cornwall’s ‘Forgotten Corner’. Ideal for couples and families seeking a coastal Cornish holiday, the beach is 250 metres down the cliff path, with cliff-top walks stretching along the coast. The peninsula is bound by the Lynher and Tamar rivers, the Hamoaze, and the sea, with Whitsand Bay’s 5 miles of wide sandy coast backed by high cliffs and dotted with craggy rocks. The coastal villages of Kingsand and Cawsand (3 miles) have cafes, shops, and surf hire, while a ferry from Cawsand crosses to Plymouth with its scenic port and wide choice of restaurants. Further west along the coast, the seaside towns of Looe (13 miles) and Polperro (18 miles) are known for their seafood restaurants, and pubs.

The open-plan living space is light and airy, taking in sweeping views over Whitsand Bay through sliding patio doors that open onto the garden. A three-seater sofa, armchair, and pouffe sit in the living area alongside a wood burner, a Smart TV with Chromecast, a digital radio with Bluetooth, and a selection of books and games for evenings together. The dining table and four chairs are positioned beside the patio doors, while the kitchen beyond has a circular porthole-style window and a stable door leading to a secluded decked area. In the master bedroom, a king-size bed faces sea views over Whitsand Bay, with a chest of drawers and local artwork completing the room. The second bedroom features a chalet-style bunk with a double on the bottom and a single on top, and a walk-in wardrobe. An en-suite shower room accessed from the second bedroom has a walk-in shower and a WC. The family shower room also has a walk-in shower and a WC.

The private garden has a lawn and a decked area with sun loungers, a bench facing the ocean, and al fresco dining seating beneath a shade sail – all looking out over the cliff and out to sea. A coal BBQ and outdoor shower are also on site. A utility shed houses a washing machine. The path from the parking area down the cliff to the property is narrow and uneven, and the footpath down the cliff to the beach is steep. Roadside parking is available at the top of the cliff.
