The Valley of the Rocks on the South West Coast Path is a breathtaking place for a coastal stroll with panoramic views, unique geological rock formations, and the wonderful wild goats. The picturesque towns of Lynton and Lynmouth (1.5 miles) offer a wide mix of cafes and restaurants to choose from, plus shops, a cliff railway and Woody Bay Station, and a fishing harbour. Inland, there are plenty of places to discover throughout Exmoor's protected countryside. Visit the National Trust-managed Watersmeet, 1 mile, perfect for woodland walks and afternoon teas, and plan meals in the quality country pubs scattered throughout the region. Brendon Common is only a couple of miles away, with over 3,000 acres of heather-covered moorland, while the delightful seaside village of Porlock is a 9-mile trip.
